User Guidelines for 360 Degrees Materials

360 DEGREES OF FINANCIAL LITERACY

The 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy program has been designed to make joining the effort and sharing and promoting our mutual resources as easy as possible. We encourage you to use the many 360 Degrees resources for the development of your programs. Please follow the guidelines listed below.

All 360 Degrees Materials

  • When using any 360 materials either in whole or in part for collateral materials, press outreach, Web content, and other purposes, attribution must be given to the AICPA and the profession's 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy effort. Please include the following line:

    "[Name] program is part of 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy, a national effort of the AICPA and the state CPA societies to improve the financial understanding of Americans.  For more information about the profession's efforts, visit www.360financialliteracy.org."

  • Resources provided through the 360 program must be used as part of pro bono efforts, and not sold to any parties.
  • You are welcome to add your state society logo and program name.
CPA Mobilization Kits
  • The kits are designed to help CPAs provide free financial education courses to Americans of all ages. 
  • They may only be used for volunteer purposes or as part of pro bono efforts. They cannot be converted into materials for sale or used to market services.
  • When customizing the kits, the AICPA 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy logo must be included.
  • You are welcome to add your state society logo and program name.

CPA Mobilization Kit PowerPoint Presentations

  • The CPA Mobilization Kit PowerPoint presentations may only be used for volunteer purposes or as part of pro bono efforts. 
  • When customizing PowerPoint presentations, reference to the AICPA 360 Web site should be included, along with any relevant state society links. 
  • You may add your state society logo and program name.

Consumer Site ( www.360financialliteracy.org) Content

  • States may link from their Web site to any resource on the consumer site. The AICPA and 360 copyright information on the consumer Web site must remain at the bottom of the Web page.
  • Before reproducing or repurposing any content from the 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy Web site, please contact Cheryl Reynolds at 212-596-6110 as copyright restrictions and contractual obligations exist. 
  • When using this content, please include attribution to the AICPA and the 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy effort including the logo and Web site address.
    • The copyright language is available on the bottom of every Web page on the 360 site. It reads: "Copyright [Year] The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants."

CPA AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

  • All materials developed and presented in the CPA Ambassador Program binder, on the CD-ROM, and on the www.cpaambassador.org Web site have been developed and copyrighted for the exclusive use of joint AICPA and state society members for the express purpose of the CPA Ambassador Program.
  • Any reproduction of these and any future materials developed for the CPA Ambassador Program must include the AICPA attribution and CPA Ambassador logo and Web site address www.cpaambassador.org
  • Documents may be neither repurposed nor reproduced without prior notification and approval of the AICPA.

MONEY MANAGEMENT

  • Money Management articles are created for the state CPA societies to send to local newspapers, business journals and magazines to build awareness of CPA services. State CPA societies are encouraged to use these articles for this intended purpose. However, the articles are copyrighted by the AICPA and when used for purposes other than the media, such as brochures or Web site content, appropriate attribution is necessary: "Copyright [year] The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants."
  • If the content in Money Management columns is used as part of a state's financial literacy efforts, we request that you include the 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy logo and Web site, www.360financialliteracy.org.  Our contractual relationship with our information vendor, who is ensuring that the Web site remains up to date, requires this attribution.

THE CPA LETTER AND THE AICPA NEWS UPDATE

  • States may post The CPA Letter PDF on their Web sites or link to The CPA Letter on aicpa.org.
  • Articles may not be reproduced without express permission of the AICPA.

CPA MARKETING TOOLKIT

  • States may link to the CPA Marketing Tool Kit on www.aicpa.org/cpamarketing.
  • When printing the CPA Marketing Tool Kit brochures, the CPA logo, the AICPA copyright and the 360 Degrees of Financial literacy logo and Web site must remain on the back panel.
  • If brochures, speeches and any other collateral materials that exist on the CPA Marketing Tool Kit are repurposed for other communications, proper attribution must be given to the AICPA.
