What do you need to know about the new renewal process for the 2023 dues year?

  • To give you more flexibility, choice and value, we’ve introduced a new platform and changed our membership structure.

  • This means the options and steps to renew your membership are different this year.

How do you start the renewal process?

First, log in to aicpa.org/login.

Next, look for your member name in the right-hand corner. Select Profile from the drop-down menu.

Make sure you’ve updated your profile information before renewing. Not sure how? Use our quick profile guide. After you confirm your profile is up to date, select Renew your membership.

Renew your membership in four easy steps:

Step 1. Choose your membership type.

  • If you’re a licensed CPA and work as a sole practitioner, in a firm, for the government or in an organization, Regular is your membership type.

  • If you’re a student pursuing your CPA license, work in accounting or finance but are not a licensed CPA, are a member of an approved partner organization outside the United States or are retired, we have separate membership types for you. Find out more. Once you confirm your eligibility as a Regular Member, select the renew button. The system will ask you to verify your employment details.

Step 2. Choose your membership tier.

  • Because membership tiers are new for 2023, the system automatically defaults to Core Tier as your current offering.

  • Select the tier with the benefits and features you want for 2023. Not sure what you have? Use our quick guide to your products and benefits. Note: Your chosen tier will remain in place until the next renewal cycle. Members can’t change tiers during the dues year but can add additional products and other benefits at any time

Step 3. Choose your section membership(s).

  • The Specialist Tier and Advance Tier each include one section membership: Tax, Personal Financial Planning, Not-for-Profit or Forensic and Valuation Services.

  • You can also add a section membership to your Core, Essential or Lead Tier memberships at a discount.

  • You can also add additional sections at a discount.

Step 4. Choose any additional products you want to add to your membership.
