Revisit the Engagement Action Plan to get feedback on your processes and the engagement result. Review the client’s Identify & Prioritize Tool and the Client Goals & Challenges Worksheet and continue this process. Consider approaching additional and potential clients using this process.
Use the Engagement Review Tool to assist in meeting preparation. This tool provides procedures you may wish to follow and several questions you may want to consider asking relative to each Trusted Client Adviser engagement. Revisit the Engagement Action Plan that you developed for this engagement and get the client’s feedback on both your processes and the engagement results. During this discussion, be sure to highlight any areas you believe went well, emphasize the value of the engagement, and then move to areas that might have needed improvement. At this point, you should get very specific, comprehensive feedback from the client about their perception of your performance on the engagement. Obtaining this client feedback is a method to improve, not only your client relationship, but also your firm’s processes, and is an important step in maintaining an ongoing relationship with your client as their most Trusted Client Adviser.
