The Engagement Action Plan is included in the Implement step of the Trusted Client Adviser process. Complete this plan and update as the engagement progresses. Report regularly to the client and ask for feedback. Deliver final results and invoice.
Thoroughly assess the proposed engagement and properly determine the scope of the engagement by reviewing all the materials the client provided, identifying which member(s) of your team has the best skill set for helping to accomplish this engagement, and determining what outside resources are likely to be needed and the cost of using these resources. Create a plan that works for you and your team and update it regularly throughout the engagement by setting due dates and documenting status updates. Throughout the implementation process, keep your client informed with regular status updates and ask for client feedback. Offer different communication methods such as in person meetings or teleconferences and different time frames (i.e., weekly, bi- weekly, etc.).
