The Client Evaluation Tool should be used to evaluate your existing clients on a scale of one to five, according to several attributes, including how well and timely the client pays, how much you enjoy working with them, and how open they are to receiving additional services. Once your clients are evaluated according to the given criteria, you will rank them as “A,” “B,” “C” or “D” clients. Devote more time and energy to your “A” clients, try to improve your relationship with your “B” and “C” clients to move them up in the rankings, and consider discussing your “D” clients with your team as perhaps they should be referred to another practitioner who may better serve their needs.

The Client Evaluation Tool is included in the Select step of the Trusted Client Adviser process. This tool can be used in conjunction with the Good Fit Client Tool to complete the next step, which is to identify what makes a good fit client for your practice and identify those clients you plan to approach to offer Trusted Client Adviser services. The Client Selection & Tracking Worksheet can be used to list and track your progress with these clients.

Download the client evaluation tool to identify your firm’s best clients.
