Troy K. Lewis, chair of the American Institute of CPAs’ Tax Executive Committee
Washington, D.C. (May 16, 2016) – Troy K. Lewis, CPA, CGMA chair of the American Institute of CPAs’ Tax Executive Committee, will testify on Tuesday, May 17, at a public forum on taxpayer service needs hosted by National Taxpayer Advocate Nina E. Olson. The public forum is one of a series that Olson is holding to gather comments from the public about the operational plan the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is developing to meet the needs of taxpayers and tax practitioners five years from now and beyond, which the IRS refers to as its “Future State” plan.
Lewis will make foundational recommendations that the AICPA believes will help the IRS achieve its goal of operating as a modern organization in order to efficiently collect taxes from taxpayers while providing quality customer service.
The public forum is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the IRS Auditorium at the IRS Headquarters Building, 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W. in Washington, D.C. Information about security procedures and how to enter the IRS building to attend the public forum is available in the IRS’s release announcing the public forum.
The AICPA’s testimony will be available on May 17 from Shirley Twillman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
