AICPA to Testify at Senate Small Business Committee Hearing On Solutions to Relieve the Tax Compliance Burdens on Small Business Owners

Washington, D.C. (July 21, 2015) – Jeffrey A. Porter, chair of the American Institute of CPAs’ Tax Reform Task Force, will testify on Wednesday, July 22, at a hearing titled, Targeted Tax Reform: Solutions to Relieve the Tax Compliance Burden(s) for America’s Small Businesses, which will be held by the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Porter will discuss a number of targeted tax reform and administrative solutions that would help make the tax code more certain, simple and transparent, as well as the importance of receiving timely and accurate responses from the Internal Revenue Service.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Room 428A of the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
