What the New Association of AICPA and CIMA Means for You

In a column for AccountingWEB, Xero’s Amy Vetter writes, “You’ve probably heard the news: The membership bodies of the AICPA and CIMA overwhelmingly voted to create a new international accounting association that will represent more than 600,000 accountants worldwide. But what does this mean for you and your practice on a more tactical level?” Vetter outlines what some of the implications could mean for practitioners and concludes, “While a winding road, the new association of AICPA and CIMA indicates that it is one all accountants and practices will eventually need to travel. The trick to making it easier, leveraging resources already at your disposal. Doing so will make the inevitable just a little bit simpler.”
