Enrich Marriage, Know Your Spouse's Money DNA

Published June 22, 2012

A Chicago Tribune article titled “Enrich marriage, know spouse's money DNA” quotes Jordan Amin, the chairman of the National CPA Financial Literacy Commission. The article gives couples, especially younger ones, tips on how to avoid arguments when talking about their personal finances. Amin advocates for each person to get to know their spouse’s “Financial DNA,” and explains that doing so requires getting to know their childhood and understanding the financial experiences that occurred, whether they were positive or negative.
