According to Alessandra Malito’s MarketWatch story, “ Here’s why people are anxious about retirement,” almost half of non-retired Americans lack confidence about their retirement goals, and they have a list of anxieties for when it’s time to call it quits. This is based on the results of the recent AICPA financial literacy survey conducted by Harris Poll. “People have anxiety about retirement goals and don’t reach it because they don’t run the numbers,” said Kelley Long, CPA and member of the AICPA’s Consumer Financial Education Advocates. Long was quoted throughout the article to help consumers understand the many components of retirement.
