AICPA to Testify at IRS Hearing on Proposed Rules Regarding Qualified Business Income Deduction

Washington, D.C. (October 15, 2018) – Troy Lewis, CPA, CGMA, will testify on behalf of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) on Tuesday, October 16, at a public hearing on proposed regulations (REG-107892-18) regarding the deduction for qualified business income under section 199A of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The hearing is being conducted by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Lewis, chair of the AICPA Task Force on Qualified Business Income, will testify on some of the key issues from AICPA’s written comments on the proposed regulations.

The public hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the IRS Auditorium at the IRS Headquarters Building, 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W. in Washington, D.C.
