Apply to be a Non-CPA Associate Member of the AICPA if you have not passed the Uniform CPA Examination or the International Qualification Examination (IQEX), and meet one of the following requirements*:

You are an owner of a public accounting firm that employs at least one senior level employee who is a current AICPA Regular Member (Voting) of the AICPA.

You are a professional staff member in a public accounting firm that employs at least one senior level employee who is a current AICPA Regular Member (Voting) of the AICPA.

You are a financial professional in a business, government, not-for-profit organization or in a consulting or law firm, and a current AICPA Regular Member (Voting) is willing to sponsor your application.

You are a full-time business or accounting educator at an accredited college or university.

Sponsorship

When applying under the third condition above, please provide the name and membership number of a current Regular Member (Voting) willing to sponsor your application. 

Sponsoring a finance professional is an affirmation by the member that the applicant is employed in a business, government, a non-profit organization, or in a consulting or law firm.
   
 
Membership Payments  

Upon review by the Board of Directors, you may or may not be elected to membership. In the event of your admittance to the AICPA, a full year's dues payment is required. Should your application be rejected, your dues remittance will be returned. To align new members with the AICPA billing cycle, a prorated dues renewal for the following fiscal year will be payable by July 31.
