Tax Practice Management Committee 

    The Tax Practice Management Committee develops products and services for AICPA Tax Section members that improve the quality, efficiency and profitability of members’ tax practices, and help members maintain high practice standards by: 

    • Working with the Tax Division’s Technical Resource Panels and Committees to provide timely and practical guidance that will help members improve the quality of their tax services.
    • Recommending appropriate technological applications for tax practice, including assistance to the IRS and practitioners on e-filing issues.
    • Working with the Division’s working groups to improve the quality of tax CPE courses.
    • Monitoring the need for a tax specialization accreditation.
    • Developing ideas for practice expansion, including offering fiduciary services.
    • Developing recommendations for more valuable Tax Section member benefits and to increase Tax Section membership.
    • Enhancing opportunities for CPAs to provide pro bono tax services and working to strengthen low income taxpayer clinical programs.
    • Reporting to the Tax Executive Committee (TEC) on strengthening our members’ ability to provide tax services to the public.
