Governmental Audit Quality Center
The Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC) promotes the importance of quality governmental audits and the value of such audits to purchasers of governmental audit services. GAQC is a voluntary membership center for CPA firms and state audit organizations that perform governmental audits.
The archived version of the highly popular four parts GAQC Web Event Series, Single Audit Fundamentals, is now available. This series has been updated and refreshed specifically, as a basic training for staff that are new to single audits or that just want a refresher.
On July 17, 2018, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released the 2018 Revision of Government Auditing Standards (often referred to as the Yellow Book or GAGAS). After reading GAQC Alert #364 to get a high-level summary of the more significant changes made; learn about the effective date; links to access the 2018 Yellow Book; and learn about a related GAQC Web event to be held on September 25, 2018.
Access an archived version of a GAQC Web event titled, Navigating Indirect Costs in Your Single Audit. This event will help auditors clearly understand the process for negotiating indirect cost rates and allocating/billing indirect costs to better serve clients and mitigate audit risk.
