Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute’s bylaws, Mr. Oki’s AICPA membership was terminated, effective November 20, 2017, because of a final judgment of conviction for crimes punishable by imprisonment for more than one year. Mr. Oki was found guilty to violating §§708-830.5, 708-830(2),H.R.S. - Theft in the First Degree; §§708-831(1)(b) and 708-830(2),H.R.S. – Theft in the Second Degree; §708A-3(1)(a)(ii)(A),H.R.S. - Money Laundering; §708-893(1)(a),H.R.S. – Use of a Computer in the Commission of a Separate Crime; and §708-852,H.R.S. – Forgery in the Second Degree.
