Mohidin, Ahmed of Moorpark, CA

Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute’s bylaws, Mr. Mohidin’s AICPA membership was suspended for one year, effective September 13, 2016, in connection with the disciplinary action taken by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Specifically, through an “Offer of Settlement”, and without admitting or denying the charges, the PCAOB barred Mr. Mohidin from being an associated person of a registered public accounting firm with the right to apply for reinstatement after one year from the effective date of the PCAOB’s Order. This decision was based on the Board’s findings that Mr. Mohidin violated PCAOB rules and standards, and federal securities laws and rules, governing auditor independence in connection with an audit for one issuer and reviews for two issuers; and violated a PCAOB rule because he directed and substantially contributed to the Firm’s violation; and for violating PCAOB rules and standards in connection with audits for two issuers.
