Speakers
Christi Maddalena
Christi currently oversees the Cost Optimization & Performance Measurement (COPM) teams for the US Insurance & Retirement Businesses, Centralized Services, and Corporate Functions at Prudential. Prior to this role, Christi was responsible for leading Prudential’s enterprise expense transformation efforts. In this capacity she was the Chief Product Owner, leading four agile teams responsible for creating a dynamic expense management infrastructure to deliver clean, timely, and transparent data to better enable business decisions and enhance the end-user experience. Earlier in her career, Christi spent 18 years in PGIM, where she held various roles including leading the PGIM COPM team. Christi joined Prudential in 2002, as an accounting associate in Operations where she spent one year before joining PGIM Private Capital as a credit analyst. Christi leveraged her financial modeling skills to move to a planning and analysis role within PGIM Investments. She later moved to PGIM Fixed Income where she continued to grow her finance responsibilities ranging from impairment analysis, controllership functions, strategic investments, AUM reporting, as well as FP&A. Christi holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from The College of New Jersey with certificates in International Business and Economics.
Maurice Kuykendoll
Maurice Kuykendoll is the chief financial officer of Prudential's Group Insurance business, which produces and distributes a full range of group life, disability, voluntary, and corporate and trust-owned life insurance. He also served as the finance lead for the company's Transformation Office. Prior to this appointment, Maurice oversaw Finance's expense center of excellence and the Corporate & Other segment unit within the global controllers group. This past November, Maurice concluded a four-year term as co-national executive director of the Black Leadership Forum, the company's largest and oldest business resource group.
David A. J. Axson
David Axson, the CFO Whisperer, has more than 30 years experience working with clients in more than 40 countries specializing in strategy, finance and technology. He is the author of a number of books including The Management Mythbuster (Wiley 2010) and Best Practices in Planning and Performance Management (Wiley 2003). A sought-after speaker, David has been the keynote speaker at events on five continents. David led Accenture's global CFO Strategy capability for nine years and was a cofounder of The Hackett Group. He also served as Head of Corporate Planning at Bank of America and prior to moving to the U.S. in 1991, worked for A.T. Kearney, Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and Lloyds Bank in London, England.
