More and more organizations are outsourcing many of their backroom functions to service providers that can provide those functions more efficiently and cost effectively. Organizations are also enabling system access with third parties with whom they do business, such as raw material suppliers or payroll processors. In many situations, the pandemic has accelerated these trends, with more employees than ever working remotely. Along with the benefits of doing business with third parties, however, come risks that need to be identified and managed. To manage those risks, organizations doing business with vendors, customers, and other third parties are looking for credible information about the processes, systems and controls that keep confidential information secure and backroom functions operating effectively.
For years now, SOC 1 and SOC 2 have been considered the gold standards for managing the risks of doing business with service organizations. But the need for information about other risks, such as security and supply chain, presents a host of new opportunities for practitioners, particularly those with the requisite skills and competencies to deliver the services.
The Event Offers:
- Beginner and experienced learning tracks to accommodate multiple levels of understanding
- Updates on current technical issues arising in this area
- Introduction to new service opportunities in third-party risk management
- SOC 1 and SOC 2 services
- Exploring data privacy and cybersecurity frameworks
- New Supply Chain Framework
