You may take the Uniform CPA Examination four times per year. The months when the Exam is offered are called “testing windows.” Testing windows are as follows:
Q1: January 1 – March 10
Q2: April 1 – June 10
Q3: July 1 – September 10
Q4: October 1 – December 10
Eligibility to Test
If you want to schedule an appointment to take the Exam, you must have a valid Notice to Schedule (NTS). You will receive your NTS after you apply to take the Exam and the Board of Accountancy determines that you are eligible.
NASBA will give you an NTS for every section you are approved to take. The NTS is valid only for a specific period of time. It cannot be used once it expires. You should schedule your Exam appointment as soon as you receive your NTS.
For questions about your NTS or the application process, visit NASBA.
You may schedule your Exam appointment at www.prometric.com/CPA or by calling Prometric's Call Center at 1-800-580-9648. You must have your NTS available when you make the appointment. Appointments are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. The earlier you schedule your appointment, the better your chance of getting the location, date, and time you would like. Exam appointments cannot be scheduled less than six days in advance. Walk-in testing is not allowed.
