Forensic and litigation services volunteers recognized.

Two Win New Award for Volunteer Efforts
Ronald L. Durkin and Michael G. Ueltzen each received the 2003 AICPA Forensic & Litigation Services (FLS) Volunteer of the Year Award in October at the National Conference on Advanced Litigation Services and National Conference on Fraud in Miami Beach, Florida.

Anat Kendal, AICPA director of financial planning, award winners Ueltzen and Durkin, Sandra K. Johnigan, forensic and litigation services subcommittee chairwoman, and William F. Ezzell, AICPA past chairman.

The award—established in 2003—acknowledges the contributions of Institute committee, subcommittee or task force members who have advanced the litigation services or forensic accounting practice areas for CPAs.

Durkin, national partner in charge of fraud and misconduct investigations for KPMG’s Los Angeles office, is a former chairman of the AICPA FLS subcommittee and has played prominent roles in the litigation services and fraud conferences.

Ueltzen, managing partner of Ueltzen & Co., in Sacramento, is a past member of the FLS subcommittee and serves on an AICPA professional ethics executive committee task force addressing FLS issues.
