AICPA Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award

William R. Kinney, Jr. was named by the AICPA as the recipient of its Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award for 2002. The Award recognizes full-time college accounting educators distinguished for excellence in teaching and for national prominence in the accounting profession. Dr. Kinney will be presented the Award at the AICPA Spring Meeting of Council May 20–21, 2002 in Savannah, Ga.

Dr. Kinney, who teaches at the University of Texas at Austin and has received many honors and awards for his contributions to the profession, is known for his knowledge, teaching and research of assurance services. Dr. Kinney earned his Ph.D. at Michigan State University and previously taught at Oklahoma State University, his alma mater.
