The Peer Review Board issues an Alert each time the Board needs to communicate information regarding peer review Standards and guidance. Annually, the Board will evaluate which articles are to be excerpted and incorporated into the Standards and related guidance. Articles that are of a transitional nature, are not appropriate to be incorporated into the Standards and guidance, or both, will remain in PRP Section 3200, Peer Review Alerts.
Alerts not yet incorporated into the Standards and related guidance such as PRP Section 3200, Peer Review Alerts are sequentially numbered with the year of issue as the first two digits and the second two digits indicating the Alert number for that year.
Note that the guidance of Peer Review Alerts 09-03, 09-02 and 09-01 will be available in the next release of the Peer Review Program Manual, expected no later than December 31, 2009.
The originally issued Alerts can be found at: www.aicpa.org/members/div/practmon/ Archived_Reviewers_Alerts.htm.
