    If your clients own a business, it is essential to plan now for succession because the process of choosing and implementing a plan can be difficult and there are many ways to approach the development of the succession plan. In this web seminar, Steve Siegel highlighted business success planning strategies to consider with your clients, tying in the AICPA guide, The CPA’s Guide to Financial & Estate Planning, including:  

    • The difficulty of getting clients to do business succession planning and how to overcome their reluctance
    • Considerations in leaving the business within the family
    • Considerations in addressing a buy-sell agreement among owners
    • The issues that may arise if the business must be sold

    Tax Section members and PFP section members (inclusive of PFS credential holders) may attend this seminar for free without receiving CPE credit. The cost for non-AICPA members to attend and receive CPE credit is $75. The cost for AICPA members to attend and receive CPE credit is $65. The cost for PFP section members (inclusive of PFS credential holders) and Tax section members to attend and receive CPE credit is $50. CPE credit will be available for purchase as late as two weeks after the event.
