||Service Organization Controls (SOC) School: Advanced Guidance for Successful Engagements
This school, held May 14-16 in Durham, NC, is designed to educate CPA practitioners who want to learn how to provide best in class services related to:
deeper understanding of Service Organization Control Guidance, common
practice issues, and leave with the foundational knowledge to
effectively perform engagements.
effectiveness of controls at a service organization that impact their
clients internal controls over financial reporting (SOC 1)
- Controls at a service organization related to information privacy, security, confidentiality, availability and processing integrity (SOC 2 and SOC 3)
The SOC School will also be held July 16-18 in Englewood, CO.
AICPA Basic IT Audit School: IT Assurance Training
This school, held July 7-10 in Englewood, CO, will provide a better understanding of:
- The type and scope of documentation necessary to prepare and provide to auditors; materials that may have to be prepared outside of the finance department; and the personnel to have during the audit.
- IT’s role in the audit (particularly important for those who may not have had IT personnel previously support an audit, but may now need to do so due to the additional information needed)
- Overview of new Service Organization Control Reports – SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3 (formerly SAS 70 reports).Limited to 50 participants.
