    The AICPA provides guidance and training as a means to help you enhance your knowledge, understanding, and competencies in the areas of forensic accounting and business valuation. Our live educational events, Web-based education, and self-study education provides FVS Section members, inclusive of CFF and ABV credential holders, with the opportunity to learn about timely issues and best practices while gaining important forensic and valuation knowledge.

    CPE is required for CPAs to maintain their professional competence and provide quality professional services.

    AICPA Expert Witness Skills Workshop

    September 11-13 in Washington, DC

    AICPA Fair Value Measurements Workshop

    September 29-30 in New York
    During the 2014 AICPA Fair Value Measurements Workshop, you will examine fair value from all sides and translate your new insights directly into financial reporting. Over the course of two intensive days, you will interact with the instructor and your peers in a collegial, small-group setting, evaluate real-world case studies and participate in extended Q&A opportunities. You will also receive an authoritative framework for applying fair value accounting rules, evaluate the fair value of individual assets as prepared by an outside valuation specialist, compare and contrast fair value in IFRS and U.S. GAAP, and exchange ideas with colleagues to stay ahead of the curve on fair value measurement. CPE: 16 credits.

    The AICPA CFF & ABV Exam Review Courses are the only comprehensive programs backed by the resources and collective expertise of forensic accounting and business valuation professionals associated with the nation's premier membership organization for CPAs, the AICPA. The goal of these review courses is to prepare candidates to take and pass the CFF or ABV Exam. Individuals taking this course will receive a comprehensive overview of forensic accounting or business valuation information covered in the respective Content Specification Outline (body of knowledge).

    2014 AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Conference

    November 9-11, 2014 in New Orleans
    The
    AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Conference gives forensic and valuation practitioners the opportunity to attend sessions from either, inter-related area from the basic to advanced level. Experts lead sessions on how to apply complex analytical techniques, scrutinize online consumer transactions, explore public databases, conduct advanced interviews, face video depositions, and analyze written statements. Attendees also receive updates on fair value, cost of capital, goodwill, and size premium. CPE: TBD.
