The EBPAQC has many valuable resources and tools available to help you with your EBP audits. These include resource centers, a Member-to-Member Discussion Forum, EAlerts, live forum webinars, plan advisories, "topix" primers and much more.

The Center has developed several new tools and resources in the past year, and updated some existing resources, including the Examples of Internal Control Communications for Employee Benefit Plans and an updated edition of the Plan Advisory, Effective Monitoring of Outsourced Plan Recordkeeping and Reporting Functions.

Technical Assistance

Consult the EBP Audit Guide and Audit Risk Alert- If you need technical guidance on an accounting or auditing issue, many times the answer can be found by consulting the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide, Employee Benefit Plans the AICPA Audit Risk Alert, Employee Benefit Plans Industry Developments-2013, and the other EBPAQC and AICPA resources.

Use the Member-to-Member Discussion Forum- The EBPAQC Member-to-Member Discussion Forum also allows you to search for topics and non-authoritative replies, or post a new topic for your colleagues to share their experience and best practices.

For questions regarding the Form 5500 or related schedules, you can email the DOL at efast@dol.gov or call the DOL EFAST 2 Contact Center Support System at 1-866-463-3278:
  • Option 1 - Questions regarding the instructions for filling out the Form 5500 Annual Report
  • Option 2 - Questions regarding errors or acknowledgment messages for edit tests
  • Option 3 - To check the status of a current filing
  • Option 4 - Questions regarding the EFAST 2 website
  • Option 5 - Third party software certification and development questions
  • Option 6 - Questions regarding pin, password, user ID, or account locked
