The EBPAQC is sponsoring a free Live Forum for firm EBP Designated Partners onPreparing your Firm for 2007 EBP Audits. The conference call live forum will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Eastern Time. This event is specifically designed to assist you, as your firm's designated EBP audit partner, in planning for the 2007 employee benefit plan audit season.
Topics will include:
- Partner involvement in the EBP audit planning process
- Key issues for 2007 EBP audits
- How your firm should prepare for 2007 audits
- Applying the new audit standards to your EBP audits: SAS 103, Audit Documentation; and SAS 112, Communicating Internal Control Related Matters Identified in an Audit
- Audit challenges and common deficiencies
- EBP tools and resources every firm should have
The presenters for this live forum will be EBPAQC Executive Committee members David Evangelista, Partner, Goldstein Lieberman & Company LLC; Becky Miller, Partner, McGladrey & Pullen LLP; and Diane Wasser, Partner, Amper Politziner & Mattia PC.
This call is intended only for firm designated partners with responsibility for the quality of the firm's ERISA audit practice, or his/her designee. You will be able to submit questions during a question and answer session. We also encourage you to submit questions in advance by emailing the Center at firstname.lastname@example.org. The conference call will also be audio recorded and archived on the EBPAQC Website after Monday, February 5.
