Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute’s bylaws, Mr. Gonzalez was admonished, effective July 10, 2013, as a result of the Stipulated Settlement and Disciplinary Order that he entered into with the California Board of Accountancy. Specifically, the state board issued Mr. Cristian a CPA License which was immediately revoked. The revocation was stayed and five years of probation was imposed. Furthermore, Mr. Gonzalez was directed to submit quarterly written reports, make personal appearances for interviews on a periodic basis, is subject to a practice investigation and must take an additional four hours of CPE in the area of ethics. This Order was a result of Mr. Gonzalez violating California Penal Code 487(a) Grand Theft.
