Karen is the Examination Technical Liaison for the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS). Ms. Sheely monitors emerging issues, policies, and practices within IRS examination functions and looks for ways to relieve burdens created for taxpayers and tax professionals. She is a writer for the National Taxpayer Advocate’s Annual Report to Congress and the author of numerous IRS Policy and Procedure toolkits including, The Captain’s Guide for Navigating the Choppy Waters of the IRS.
Gordon Spoor
CPA, Spoor + Associates, P.A., St. Petersburg, FL

Gordon has practiced public accounting in St. Petersburg, Florida since 1974. He is the managingshareholder of the CPA firm Spoor & Associates, P.A., and a shareholder in the investment advisory firm of Anderson, Riley & Spoor, P.A. He also serves as a discussion leader for continuing professional education courses and has been awarded an outstanding discussion leader award in every year since he became a discussion leader in 1992.
