    Compliance Burden of Repair Regulations
    On October 8, 2014, the AICPA urged(hyperlink for the leter) the IRS to provide immediate relief from adopting the Repair Regulations by permitting businesses to comply with the rules prospectively and increase the $500 de minimis safe harbor threshold amount.
    Affordable Care Act
    The AICPA has developed the Health Care Reform Resource Center that provides information and resources that will assist you in navigating the complexities of the health care reform provisions so you can make informed decisions for your clients and organizations.
    AICPA Submits Extenders Letter to Congress
    On September 15, 2014, the AICPA sent a letter urging Congress to immediately address the fifty-seven tax provisions that expired at the end of 2013 and six provisions that expire at the end of 2014, to avoid further distortions in financial reporting, prevent unnecessary delays in the tax filing season, and end all of the needless uncertainty.
