An Important Message to Our Members About Hurricane Sandy

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions touched by the devastation of Sandy – either directly or whose loved ones were affected. We hope that you are safe and have found comfort among family, friends and your broader community as you have lived through this difficult time together. Now as you take care of what matters most – your family and your home – and get back on your feet, be assured that your professional home is here for you, ready to help in any way we can.

We have created a Hurricane Sandy web page where you will find resources and information to help you and your clients assess next steps in the days and weeks ahead, including disaster and financial planning guides, checklists, how to apply for assistance and other materials. Please visit it frequently for up-to-date information.

If your firm or business has been significantly impacted, please contact us at 888.777.7077. We will work with you to assess your situation and advise on both immediate and long-term strategies so that you can get back to work as soon as possible.

As our Chair Richard Caturano expresses in his AICPA Insights® blog, it’s in times like these that we draw together as a profession to support one another. Our Member Service team is awaiting any questions you may have – from access to resources, benefits and AICPA events to a delivery concern on a recent product purchase. At your convenience and when you are ready, our specialists can be reached at 888.777.7077 or service@aicpa.org.

The AICPA is here to support you at this challenging time. Please let us know what we can do.

    Sincerely,
    Barry C. Melancon, CPA, CGMA
    President and CEO
