Washington (September 18, 2017) – Troy K. Lewis, CPA, CGMA, immediate past chair of the American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) Tax Executive Committee, will testify on Tuesday, September 19 at the Senate Finance Committee “Business Tax Reform” hearing.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

Lewis, a sole practitioner and an Associate Teaching Professor at Brigham Young University, will highlight several tax reform issues that directly impact businesses and their owners, such as the importance of maintaining the cash method of accounting, the need to provide tax reform to all American businesses, not just C corporations, and the ability to deduct interest expense.
