    AICPA and Association for Accounting Marketing Publish Guide to Help CPA Firms Gain Clients, Boost Their Bottom Line

    NEW YORK (Aug. 4, 2010) — The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association for Accounting Marketing have published Bull’s-Eye! The Ultimate How-To Marketing & Sales Guide for CPAs to help firms expand their client base and increase their bottom line.

    A comprehensive how-to guide, Bull’s-Eye! features best practices, case studies and tips to help CPA firms of all sizes strengthen their sales and client service skills by using well-designed business development strategies and programs.

    CPAs identified marketing/practice growth as a key issue that firms need to address in the AICPA’s 2009 PCPS CPA Firm Top Issues Survey, underscoring the timeliness of the book’s release. Private Company Practice Section (PCPS)  membership is comprised of more than 6,500 local and regional AICPA member firms.

    “Survey results have shown that one of the most pressing issues facing CPA firms today is growing their practices and retaining their existing clients,” said Mark Koziel, AICPA director - specialized communities and firm practice management. “This book guides firms through the steps they need to take to develop and sustain successful business development programs.”

    Thirty-seven industry experts contributed chapters to Bull’s-Eye! on topics such as social media marketing, how to build an effective website, how to generate publicity using public relations and how to create opportunities through community activities.
