AICPA Turns
Students On to
Business and Accounting
The AICPA developed The
Turnaround Game (www.theturnaroundgame.com), a Web-based interactive business
simulation that introduces students to the
CPAs role in business by having them
compete to devise the best strategy for saving a
record company from bankruptcy. The game is the
latest installment in an ongoing series of
promotions, contests, games and simulations in
the Institutes Start Here, Go Places
recruitment campaign (www.startheregoplaces.com). Were reaching out to
younger audiences to give them a sense of what
being a CPA is all about, said AICPA
President and CEO Barry C. Melancon.
The Turnaround Game clearly
demonstrates the challenges and rewards CPAs face
every day.
