The E.D.G.E Conference will have a mobile app to make the experience even more productive for attendees.
According to the latest AICPA Top Technology Initiatives Survey Results, mobile is on everyone’s mind. At the AICPA, we are always thinking of new ways to use current technologies to keep you informed. Thus, the AICPA Conference App was born. Our first conference app was released in June at the Practitioner’s/Tech+ conference and since then, several conferences have had custom apps associated with the event. Attendees loved the convenience and enhanced functionalities they got from the app. The ability to access all the information they need in one place — on their mobile phone — allowed them to skip using the paper catalog completely. Attendees said they were more organized and saved time.
So it’s no surprise the E.D.G.E. conference in August will have its very own app to let attendees go beyond the paper brochures and agendas and make the most of their time at this high-energy event.
As a CPA on the go, you want an app that helps make you more efficient and effective. The E.D.G.E. conference app delivers just that.
- It will have an Agenda sorted by speaker, session name, and date. You simply choose which sessions to attend to create your personal agenda. Speaker bios and exhibitor information are also included. You can flag the ones you like most using the “Favorites” button to help you keep track of those you wish to connect with after the conference.
- You can also Tweet from the app, using the Twitter handle #AICPA_EDGE.
- There are session, exhibitor floor and around town maps to help you navigate the hotel and local area.
- Lastly, you will also find links to a variety of featured products that will be available for perusal onsite.
To incorporate the most current information, we will launch the E.D.G.E conference app about a week before the conference starts. The app will be available for multiple mobile platforms. Look for the announcement in your email, on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/AICPAConfs), LinkedIn (The Young CPA Network), and Twitter (@AICPAConfs/#AICPA_EDGE).
