Welcome to the AICPA Issue Brief for the Academic & Career Development Team. The AICPA provides a number of programs geared towards students, minorities, and women. The Academic & Career Development (ACD) Team has the following objectives to:
- Work aggressively to attract qualified people into the profession and the Institute and to retain them after they enter;
- Energetically seek to improve the quality of accounting education and promote the availability of qualified accounting programs;
- Actively work to recruit minorities into the profession and enhance their upward mobility;
- Enthusiastically work to enhance the upward mobility of women in the profession and help males and females balance their work, family, and personal lives.
