Cheryl K. Woods, CPA, CGMA

Cheryl K. Woods, CPA, P.C.
Cheryl has more than 35 years of public accounting practice.  She began her career with Price Waterhouse in 1974 in Portland, OR, moved to a regional firm where her interest in taxes was piqued, and started her own firm in 1979 when she married and moved to the wheat and cattle ranch she and her husband operate.  She has been a true sole-proprietor since opening her office in her home in Centerville, WA, and has mitigated not having staff by leaning heavily on technology.  Her practice is primarily tax and estate-planning related, although she does provide compilation and review services for those clients who need it.  Her clients are located throughout the country.

Cheryl is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (WSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  She is past chair of the WSCPA’s Management of Accounting Practices (MAP) committee, past recipient of the WSCPA’s Committee Chair of the Year award, and long-time member of the WSCPA PAC Committee.  She has been a member of the AICPA PCPS 2005 Small Firm Networking group since its inception, and is currently the chair of that group.  She has been a strong advocate of PCPS since its inception, feeling that it gave great value to the small practitioner.

Cheryl has served on many boards in her community and state.  She and her husband’s families are both third generation farmers/ranchers in the area, and have close ties to their small communities.  Cheryl has also been heavily involved in facilitating the development of wind projects in the Mid-Columbia area of Oregon and Washington.
