AICPA PCPS Firm Volunteer Center Service Areas

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, PCPS with the assistance of AICPA’s Audit Quality Centers and sections, has mobilized firms throughout the United States to volunteer their resources to assist those in need.  

Click on any of the service areas below to view a list of firms offering that resource.  This list can be sorted by any of the column headers (i.e. city, state).  There is also an advanced search feature which allows you to refine your search by multiple categories.

Office Space – a place to set up your office on a temporary basis

Housing – a place for the CPA and his/her family to live 

Office Supplies and/or equipment – computers; desks; file cabinets; copy machine; shredder; other supplies

Technology Support - help to get up and running again, including data recovery and rebuilding data files, etc.

Hosting and/or software - host email and software applications, share software applications  

Temporary Hiring of Staff from Affected Firm - unless mutually decided differently, individuals are hired on a temporary basis with the expectation that they will return to the sending firm at a later date.  Information will include type of work/skill needed, length of time, if housing (a place to live for CPA and his/her family) and transportation from the temporary residence to the office are available. 

Record reconstruction, forensics, business interruption loss

Business continuity and disaster recovery assistance and consultation

Assistance in Reaching Clients of Affected Firm Help with communication to reach clients affected by Katrina
