Chris is an innovative and driven accounting professional with over ten years of experience. Growing up in a family of CPAs, the decision to become an accountant was easy for Chris. In 2002, Chris graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Business Finance. In 2006, he received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of North Florida. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Chris is the founding shareholder of Chris Farmand and Company where he strives to combine twenty first century technology with time-honored accounting practices. He collaborates with clients to find effective solutions to meet their business needs. Chris strives to facilitate strategic thinking among business owners through creative service offerings.
Outside the office, Chris is passionate about giving back to the community and is actively involved with three local non-for-profit organizations. He is the treasurer of the Ramallah American Club of Jacksonville a non-political, cultural organization. He is also the treasurer of PB&J, an organization committed to promoting and building community by hosting bi-monthly charity events to aid non-profits that are specifically helping community interests. He serves on the board of Discovery Montessori School where he is passionate about the lifelong learning initiative of Montessori principles. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Chris has been married to his wife, Razan, for seven years and they have a three-year old son, Rami. Chris is an active triathlete having competed in many local Sprint and Olympic distance races. He hopes to complete an Ironman within the next five years.
