Intentional Employee Engagement
October 17, 2017, 2:00 – 3:00 pm ET

Employee engagement is essential as we look for answers in recruiting and retaining the team that surrounds us.  When firm leaders make the decision to be more intentional about the strategies they use to truly engage employees, the likelihood that they will be able to improve is very high.  We will spend our time together looking at the top 10 things that firms can do now to increase their employee engagement which will translate into a happier team, higher retention rates and a recruiting message that will attract the brightest.

  • Communication is essential, and just when you think you have it right, new strategies emerge
  • Technology solutions are changing and mobile is top of mind.  How to implement new resources that will put you ahead of your competitors.
  • Developing a process does not mean you are “boxed in” to a ‘one size fits all’ engagement strategy.  Process does mean you are implementing on an ongoing basis.
  • It is all about the people.  Take an intentional look at your learning opportunities, team building activities and seeking to understand your entire team that will set you apart and let true engagement flourish.

Sandra Wiley, President and Shareholder of Boomer Consulting, Inc., will be presenting. Networking group meetings provide a forum for in-depth practice management discussions and an exchange of best practices with firms throughout the country. Group members can be connected with PCPS tools and resources to tackle practice management issues and can be updated on trends in the profession through nationally recognized speakers and roundtable discussions. Through each group's informal system, networking group members may take advantage of the valuable knowledge of their colleagues and share their own knowledge with their peers.  While many group members are firm owners/partners, any member of a PCPS firm is welcome to attend networking group meetings.

Meeting Details
  • Meetings are typically one-and-a-half days long and are held twice a year (spring and fall) at locations determined by each group
  • Agenda topics for individual meetings are developed by the groups themselves
  • Groups have approximately 20-25 members and each group has a chair who helps to arrange meeting logistics and facilitates conversations
  • All participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses, along with the meeting registration fee, which is based on cost-sharing
