This new program is aimed to recognize CPAs age 40 or younger in information management and technology assurance who exhibit exemplary professional achievement. Partners or managers can nominate these visionary leaders or applicants can self-nominate with an accompanying letter of recommendation.
CPAs would be able to earn continuing professional education credits in increments of one-fifth, one-half, or whole credits for all instructional delivery methods except nano-learning under an amended proposal issued Monday. The AICPA and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) originally proposed revisions to the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education Programs on May 19.
