This GAQC Webcast, 2012 GAQC Annual Update, scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2012, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (Eastern Time), will provide participants with a high-level summary of the key issues that GAQC members should be considering as part of planning for the 2012 audit season. Remember that the GAQC membership requirements for CPA firms and SAOs state that the firm's DAQP or the SAO's DAQL must attend this annual Center-sponsored Webcast. However, all levels of staff will benefit from attending. The GAQC highly recommends that you and your staff view this Webcast prior to starting your 2012 governmental audits.
AICPA’s Comment Letter on OMB Advance Notice of Proposed Reforms to A-133
Read the AICPA’s comment letter, dated April 30, 2012, on OMB Advance Notice of Proposed Guidance, Reform of Federal Policies Relating to Grants and Cooperative Agreements; Cost Principles, and Administrative Requirements (Including Single Audit Act). OMB issued the Advance Notice to more fully describe the reform ideas it is contemplating so that the public can provide feedback.

This event is designed to assist participants in understanding a recently issued GAQC practice aid, 2011 Yellow Book Independence—Nonaudit Services Documentation Practice Aid. This event will walk participants through the practice aid, including the various considerations when identifying and evaluating threats to independence when deciding whether to provide a nonaudit service.
