    Peer Review Practice Management Toolkits

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  If you (or firms you peer review) access the Team and Review Captain Checklists (including engagement checklists, the Summary Review Memorandum, Review Captain Summary, Profiles and Practice Management Toolkits), from this Peer Review webpage, you should know that this webpage will no longer be available after January 2016.

Content that will remain available to the public-as detailed here-includes the Standards, Interpretations, Report Acceptance Body Handbook and the Quality Control Policy and Procedure Questionnaires.

All other PRPM content will be available only in the AICPA’s Online Professional Library (OPL) to its subscribers (new subscribers-click here), or those who take advantage of our free 90-day trial offer, after January 2016.

For more information, see Peer Review Program Updates in the 2015 communications, most notably in the Launch article.  The free 90 day trial is further discussed in the September AlertsPeer review contacts at all enrolled firms were emailed this update in November 2015.

The System and Engagement Review Toolkits provide you with easy access to all of the documents you need to start a review. These toolkits are as of May 2015. Updated Toolkits are available via the Online Professional Library (OPL) to subscribers.

The System Review Toolkit has folders of tools for:

    • firms consisting of sole practitioners with no personnel
    • firms consisting of more than two personnel.

To see these folders, you should “Extract” the documents in the .zip file and ensure that the box for “Use Folder Names” is checked during the extraction process. An overview of the tools has been provided in each toolkit.

As a peer reviewer, you should download the appropriate toolkit each time you begin a review to ensure you have the most updated tools and checklists.

Please download the Current System Review Toolkit or the Engagement Review Toolkit.
