    lock SSCS No. 1 and SSVS No. 1 Codifications
    Effective December 15, 2014, references to the AICPA Code of Conduct in SSCS No. 1 and SSVS No. 1 have been revised to reflect the conforming changes to the Ethics codification. SSCS No. 1 is classified as CS Section 100 and SSVS No. 1 is classified as VS Sections 100 and 9100 in the FVS Online Professional Library.
    Standing Ovation Recognition Program
    This new program is aimed to recognize young CPAs in forensic accounting and valuation who exhibit exemplary professional achievement. Partners or managers can nominate these visionary leaders or applicants can self-nominate with an accompanying letter of recommendation.
    DOL Reportedly Drops Valuation from Fiduciary Rule
    The AICPA has learned that the DOL has dropped appraisers of ESOPs from its proposed rule on the definition of a fiduciary. The original rule was issued in 2010 and would have included valuation providers in the definition of a fiduciary under ERISA.
