Peer Review Firm Terminations

    2010 Peer Review Firm Terminations 

    A hearing panel of the AICPA Peer Review Board concluded the following firms' enrollment in the AICPA Peer Review Program should be terminated for failure to cooperate with the AICPA Peer Review Board.

    FEBRUARY

    Effective February 1, 2010 - Terminated from the AICPA Peer Review Program for failure to cooperate. Hearing panels deemed the following firm failed to submit documentation evidencing completion of the corrective or monitoring action as a result of their most recent peer reviews: 
    • Bournstein, Pauk & Co., LLC - Kirkwood, MO

     

    MAY

    Effective May 26, 2010
    - Terminated from the AICPA Peer Review Program for failure to cooperate. Hearing panels deemed the following firms failed to submit documentation evidencing completion of the corrective or monitoring action as a result of their most recent peer reviews:

    • Crona & Associates, PC CPA’s - Estes Park, CO
    • Philip C. Achusim, CPA - Chicago, IL
    • Judd R. Horwitz & Co., PC - Lincolnwood, IL

     

    JUNE

    Effective June 2, 2010 - Terminated from the AICPA Peer Review Program for failure to cooperate. Hearing panels deemed the following firms failed to submit documentation evidencing completion of the corrective or monitoring action as a result of their most recent peer reviews:
    • Cross Professional Associates - South Portland, ME
    • Kevin P. Williamson, CPA - Flanders, NJ


    SEPTEMBER
     
    Effective September 15, 2010 - Terminated from the AICPA Peer Review Program for failure to cooperate. Hearing panels deemed the following firms failed to cooperate with the administering entity:  

    • Butler CPA, PC - Hudson, WI
    • Sassi & Associates, CPA, PA - Kennett Square, PA
    • Mitchell A., Cole, CPA - Danby, VT
    • Gene Gallagher & Associates - Fargo, ND

     

    DECEMBER

    Effective December 6, 2010 - The following firm pleaded guilty to charges that the firm failed to cooperate. As a result, the firm’s enrollment in the AICPA Peer Review Program was terminated:

    • CF Kantorik - Mount Pleasant, PA
    • Lawrence Travis & Co., PC - Springfield, IL
