Finder, Seymour - Englewood, NJ

Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute’s bylaws, Mr. Finder’s AICPA membership was suspended for two years, effective August 22, 2011. This decision was based on the Consent Order that Mr. Finder entered into with the New York State Education Department, Office of Professional Discipline, State Board for Public Accountancy, whereby the Board partially suspended his CPA license in the area of audit and attest services for the lesser of one-year or the completion of forty-hours of continuing professional education credit and placed him on probation for a two-year period following the termination of his suspension. This decision was based on Mr. Finder’s professional misconduct involving the audit errors that were made on three annual audits of the financial statements for a (“Company”), and the issuance of an audit opinion on financial statements that were not in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
