    Past Speakers

Joe F. Edwards, a successful business executive in addition to being a former Astronaut, is an experimental test pilot and combat Navy fighter pilot and has received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He has set world records for the greatest mass flown in earth orbit, the most humans in space simultaneously, and the closest flying maneuvers flown around an orbiting space station in the history of manned space flight. In addition, he served under General Colin Powell at the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As a Naval Aviator, Captain Edwards led the flight tests of the F-14D Tomcat. Captain Edwards received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, 1980 and a Master of Science degree in Aviation Systems from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, 1994.

He is an accomplished public speaker with experience around the world. During his career with EDS, Edwards was a substantial participant in the merger with HP. He is now a Managing Director in Washington, DC with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Will Durst is a sworn enemy to all tyrants, foreign and domestic, and has been called “quite possibly the best political comic working in America today” by The New York Times. He is a 5-time Emmy nominee; has told jokes in 14 countries; racked up 7 nominations for “Stand-Up of the Year”; and his 600+ television appearances include Letterman, HBO, Showtime, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, Comedy Central, the BBC and many more.

This former radio talk host, oyster shucker, and margarine smuggler writes a weekly, nationally syndicated humor column and is the author of The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing from Ulysses Press, which was taken directly from his acclaimed one man off-Broadway show.  A cross between a living editorial cartoon and a stand-up journalist, Durst has been fired by Air America once, PBS three times, and twice by the San Francisco Examiner. He is currently a semi-regular on MSNBC, CNN and Fox News. Truly bipartisan, he’s performed for 3 elected presidents, a Governors’ Convention and a Mayors’ Conference. He is now touring the country with his new one man show, The Lieutenant Governor from the State of Confusion. Durst’s abiding motto is “You can’t make stuff up like this.”
