Congressional CPA Named to Prestigious House Committee

Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC)The Republican Steering Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives has appointed Congressman Tom Rice (R-S.C.) to the House Committee on Ways and Means.

A member of the Congressional Caucus on CPAs and Accountants, Rice said serving on the committee will give him a bigger role in advancing solutions to some of the nation’s most pressing issues.

“With my experience as a tax attorney, CPA, and businessman for over 25 years, I believe I will be an effective advocate for the Seventh District, South Carolina, and the country on the issues Ways and Means oversees,” he remarked.

Ways and Means is the oldest committee of the Congress and is the chief tax-writing panel in the House of Representatives.
