Jay Rothberg 

Vice President, Office of the CEO 
Jay Rothberg is Vice President of the Office of the CEO at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In this position, Rothberg is responsible for speaking at key accounting and financial business-related conferences and meetings and responding to issues raised by members to the President and Board of Directors. He coordinates the development of the agenda for meetings of the Board of Directors, Council and Regional Council, and oversees the appointment process to the AICPA's volunteer committees.

Rothberg joined the AICPA in 1987 and served as the Institute's Vice President, Member and State Relations and Director of Communications and State Society Relations in AICPA's Washington, D.C. office. He spent nine years with the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, serving as Assistant Director/CPE Director and Executive Director.

Previously, he worked as a student personnel administrator at three private colleges. He was also regional director for the National Automobile Dealers Association.

Rothberg is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), a designation awarded by the American Society of Association Executives. He is past president of the Louisiana Society of Association Executives and was area governor and club president of Toastmasters International. A trustee of the Zeta Psi Fraternity of North America Inc. and its educational foundation, Rothberg served as international president from 1985 to 1987.

Rothberg received a bachelor's degree from American University in Washington, D.C. and a master's degree from New York University.
