Cheryl Reynolds is Vice President – Communications, Advertising and Brand Management at the AICPA. In this role, Cheryl leads the AICPA’s centralized communications function, which includes a portfolio of executive, member and stakeholder communications in both traditional and digital media, as well as communications support for the sales, membership and product areas.
She is responsible for efforts to promote, protect and position the AICPA, CPA and affiliate brands and reputation; optimizing member engagement and experience; and driving communications, messaging, and ensuring brand alignment with organizational priorities and revenue goals.
A champion for improved member experience through integrated communications, Cheryl has played an integral role executing on a broad range of comprehensive communications efforts which advanced both the AICPA and the CPA profession.
Working with AICPA leadership and the Communications team, Cheryl developed and launched the AICPA’s award-winning financial literacy efforts, 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy and Feed the Pig, the redesign and update of AICPA.org, and implemented the brand system for the AICPA and CPA brands. Working with CIMA, she oversaw the development and launch of the CGMA brand. Cheryl oversees the AICPA’s robust social media efforts, which reach thousands of AICPA members on a daily basis.
Before joining the Institute in 2001, Cheryl was a writer and editor at New York University and had previously worked as an English professor at Tulsa Community College.
Cheryl has earned a BA from the University of Tulsa, a Master’s in English from The State University of New York at Binghamton and an MFA from New School University.
